Gas Furnace Prices
Gas furnace prices -- they seem to be constantly on
the rise. What can you do to combat this? First of all, when considering the purchase
of a new gas furnace, make sure that you have thoroughly researched all of the
available types and models. Gas furniture prices can vary a great deal from manufacturer
to manufacturer -- even from dealer to dealer -- so the more time and effort that
you "comparison-shop" the better off you'll be. A second important
way to get around rising gas furnace prices is to make sure that you purchase
a large enough -- but not too large -- furnace unit. You will, of course, have
to pay more for a larger-capacity gas furnace, so keep your expenditures to the
minimum -- don't buy a larger unit than you need. Another important consideration is to take
into account the "total price" when evaluating gas furnace prices. For
example, if your dealer charges extra for an extended warranty, that adds to the
price. A gas furnace that requires more frequent -- and expensive -- maintenance
might actually have a higher "total" gas furnace price than one with
an initial higher cost, but which does not require quite so much maintenance.
Remember: look at the total picture before you buy.
